F_JL15_the-ladies-2.jpgDressed for the occasion, Miss Belle and Annie Bythell, partook of a refreshing morning tea before greeting Damla Yesmin Say, the Turkish ambassador who was visiting the Otaki Museum.

Ms Bythell said they had decided to do some street theatre, it coincided with the opening of the latest exhibition. They were present to greet Yesmin Say as she left the museum.

JL15_the-ladies-2.jpgAt the Tele Hotel, they tapped on the door, opened by a startled publican only to find they were 150 years too late for the next stage coach!

“We’ve had a fantastic time, promoting some of the history of our township.” Ms Bythell said.
