The twin exhibitions Otaki Remembers World War I (focusing on Gallipoli during the last few months) and the Turkish Embassy’s Çanakkale – road to peace out of war have been very well received.

Visitors appreciated the images from both Turkish and Anzac trenches, and gained an understanding of the suffering experienced by all. The museum will be closed for a few weeks for minor renovations to the exhibition space and will re-open in mid-late July with an exhibition about Kapiti Island. We know this will be of great interest and look forward to seeing visitors on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 10 am – 2 pm at 49 Main Street, Otaki.
