When Mitty and her whanau came back from the UK to live in Otaki they came in to enrol at Otaki Kindergarten. Mitty’s Nana, June, saw children working on a puzzle she had made when Mitty’s Dad was at kindy here. It has always been a favourite puzzle but we hadn’t realised how special it is!
When it was Mitty’s turn to leave kindergarten for school, her Nan made a pile of puzzles for us. She got Mitty’s aunty to help her paint them, just like she had for the much earlier puzzles she had made, a generation ago!
These puzzles are a special connection for us and we treasure them.
