Otaki Children’s Day

R_Childrens-dayDon’t miss the celebrations for Ōtaki Children’s Day on Sunday 1 March at Ōtaki Pool, 11am–3pm.

Funded by Council, the event will be full of activities for kids including a bouncy castle, giant snakes and ladders, and other games.

There will also be inflatables in the main pool, with lane swimming removed so the entire 33-metre pool can be used for water play.

“Children’s Day is about seeing children celebrated, nurtured and treasured by all,” says organiser Councillor Penny Gaylor.

“It is unique because it’s not a day that has been commercialised, it’s about giving time and families having fun together. We’re running everything in the pool complex, so if it rains we won’t have to close any of the activities down.”

All activities, pool entry and sausages are free. Bring a picnic or snacks and maximise your fun day with the children in your life.
