The annual picnic in connection with the Otaki State School was held at Kaingaraki Park, kindly lent for the occasion by Mr and Mrs F Kilmister, on Wednesday. The day was most suitable, being fine with a gentle breeze. The spot proved an ideal one for the occasion, and children attended in full force to enjoy the outing. There were also a number of adults present. The committee with the school staff and others, did all possible for the children, and races, etc., were held at frequent intervals.
