Community garden club

Locals interested in joining a newly formed Te Horo garden group can meet at Te Horo Café, Hyde Park, on Tuesday, 10th February, 11.00am. Agenda includes discussing suitable days for meeting, aims and a forthcoming programme. “This is an informal group — no committees, no minutes – just good gardens and gardening talk,” said organiser, Sharon Hurst.

Drinks and Nibbles

Meet up and relax with other locals at the community’s monthly get-together — Te Horo Hall, Friday, 6 February, 5.30pm. Bring a plate of finger food and your favourite tipple.

Te Horo Country Market

Here’s a great way to support your community – purchase ultra-fresh veggies, fruit and eggs, all locally-grown, excellent olive oil, jewellery and handcrafts at the monthly Sunday market, Te Horo Hall, 1 February, 10.00am to 12.30pm. There’s also an on-site café offering visitors an excellent brunch menu at reasonable prices.

Fitness classes

Meet at Te Horo Hall, Tuesday, 9.15am to 10.15am for your Swiss Ball workout. Exercise to suit your ability, tone, stretch or give your abs a hard workout. Contact Carola for further details 021 060 6094.

Craft Circle

A reminder the monthly Craft Circle meets on Wednesday, 4 February, 10.00am onwards at Te Horo Hall. No membership needed – just drop in with your craft item and work with other local crafters.
