New Lions Club in Otaki

2611

The new Lions Club of Otaki is now meeting on a regular basis and is seeking new members from the wider Otaki and Te Horo areas. The family-friendly club for women and men is a great way to meet new people and get involved in the community

Club President Don Howden says the new club is already planning how it may support community organisations, including local schools. Getting to know new people and helping out in the community are what the club is all about. We want to build a family-friendly club so that it’s open to broad community membership. For example, we are working on ideas to make it possible for parents to bring their kids along so that they can be members and come to meetings. Anyone who is interested is welcome to come along to a club meeting.

The club meets at the Otaki RSA in Raukawa Street, Otaki on the first and third Wednesday of each month.

The first Wednesday of the month is a social evening with dinner followed by a guest speaker. The meeting on the third Wednesday of the month is a business meeting to select and plan community activities
