Routine Family Violence screening has started at Ōtaki Medical Centre from 14th December. This will help people get the help they need when they need it.
All women 16 and over will be asked a general screening question. Men who are identified at risk of family violence will also be included.
Recommended free counselling service contact details and parenting support courses information can be provided.
The local iwi, hapu representatives and community providers have helped in the planning of this programme.
We look forward to working towards a violence free Ōtaki.
