Time for a change

time-change-clinicmoveb_AP16_FTime certainly flies, and it is amazing to think that it was 24 years ago, in 1992, that I moved to Ōtaki and sometime later was asked by some locals to do their veterinary work. (Emma reminds me she wasn’t even born then!) From then, to opening the Ōtaki Veterinary Centre at 146 Tasman Road in ‘95, and it’s exciting relocation to Mill Road in 2002 with a major clinic extension – the practice has certainly grown and transformed.

Now after all those years of practice ownership I feel ready for a change and I am delighted that Hugh Bentall of Levin & Horowhenua Veterinary Centre and Ōaki Animal Health and has purchased the practice effective from April 1st.

I will continue to work at the clinic 4 days a week and some Saturdays, and Emma and Jen will continue as they are now. So essentially for our customers there will be little change. I am looking forward to concentrating on veterinary work without the business concerns and I am relieved that the practice will continue under NZ and local ownership.

I have a special thanks to all my staff over the years, both vets and vet nurses whose hard work and enthusiasm has been instrumental in developing the practice and making it a delight to work in.

And it goes without saying that 24 successful years in business can only be made possible by the support of our many loyal customers. So a big thank you everyone for your past support, and I will look forward to continuing to see you and your pets in the future.
