Rāhui Taiohi – champions!

Rahui Taiohi is a combined team from Te Kura-a-iwi o Whakatupuranga Rua Mano and Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Rito o Raukawa.  The girls were a part of a wider netball academy group of 18 girls who trained 5 times a week and played competition matches weekly sometimes twice weekly.  The academy focussed on developing these young women as people through the medium of netball.

What a wonderful year they have had.

Rāhui Taiohi were the winners of four titles this year:

  • Poitarawhiti Kāpiti ki Ōtaki (Collegiate Coastal Challenge, teams included LNISS A-Graders Kapiti College, Paraparaumu College and Ōtaki College)
  • Horowhenua Netball Collegiate Title,
  • Horowhenua Netball Premier 1 Title,
  • LNISS B-Grade winners. This championship entitles them to promotion into A-Grade in 2016.
