The Rotary exhibition has finished and the museum will be closed until 5 August while a new exhibition is being installed.
This will commemorate 100 years since the beginning of the First World I. A special feature will be a large Roll of Honour with the names of the men and nurses who served from Manakau to Waikanae – the area covered by our RSA. Why did the war happen, and why did it concern us?
Come and find out.
The exhibition will feature the various campaigns overseas in which our men fought, what was going on in Otaki at that time and much more. There will be changes in the exhibition over time, culminating in a special focus on Gallipoli next year.
