Ōtaki artists opened their doors to the public earlier in the month for the 15th annual Kāpiti Arts Trail.
Fourteen artists in their own studios, nine sculptors at Scape Sculpture Park and three artists at Backwal Gallery took part in the event which ran over two weekends for the first time.
Ōtaki Beach artist Sonia Savage of SavageArt said she thought the trail was a great success.
“I had a steady ow of visitors from all over coming through – some who are followers of mine who have bought my artworks previously and lots of new faces which was nice to see!
“With the trail spread across two weekends I had some great feedback from people that they enjoyed having more time to look around different venues. It was well worth all the work with the bonus of some great sales.”
The Kāpiti Arts Trail has become a highly popular arts event and brings many visitors from other parts of the country to our district.
