To the people who half-filled an elderly couple’s wheelie bin with their own rubbish!- Three men with guns shooting birds near the Otaki river bridge at the weekend. Illegal and dangerous.
- To the stealers of church property (again) All Saints Church had their heavy safe stolen. So unchristian.
- To the low-life thief who stole a jacket from the Nepal stall at the Sunday market. Shame.
- That’s $95 which will not be going to support Nepal in their time of need.
- To the dickheads who set fire to the rubbish bins at the beach car park and picnic area
- The blocking of the Railway Hotel alleyway. Why??

Rotary Shelter Boxes
With the recent natural disasters in Vanuatu and Nepal, many of Otaki’s school children know they have contributed to aid through the Otaki Rotary Club’s Shelter Box project.
“The kids now have an idea of what we are doing (helping in time of disaster),” Rotary Shelter Box facilitator, Derek Chisholm said. “It’s just a small bit but I’m sure there will always be a need. With Vanuatu and Nepal it’s brought home to the kids we’re doing something to help.”
