Notwithstanding the inclemency of the weather, a large audience assembled in the Public Hall, Te Horo, on Monday evening, when Mr L G Lowry, the Labour candidate, delivered a forceful address on the policy of the Labour party. Mr C Sawyer occupied the chair. Quoting from the NZ Dairy Board annual report, the speaker maintained there was sufficient evidence to prove that nothing less than guaranteed prices would rehabilitate the farmer…. the speaker dealt with National superannuation, health, unemployment and taxation, and asked for a clear cut victory on the 27th November.
